About a House

The other day on the bus home from uni i noticed a hairdressing salon, which had been converted from a house. There was a date near the top in large numbers, 18something. It was two storeys, but with the kind of attic with windows, so i i guess that makes three. And it was the skinniest house i have ever seen. Like a short story wedged between the heaviest tomes in the bookshelf, though the other buildings were actually normal sized.  Squeezed in between the much bigger, much taller steel-and-glass office buildings it reminded me of the house in stuart little, except folded in quarters... or eighths. I heard something really wise today... watching Veronica Mars. Great source of witty quips and comebacks, but not exactly where you'd expect to pick up some profound insight.
